‘Red Bull Guardians,’ Reveals Teams and Talent Lineup for the Innovative Dota 2 Tournament

Lithium and ROOONS join the roster for Red Bull Guardians, with Blitz, Capitalist and more to provide expert analysis and commentary as the action unfolds at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere this weekend

London, October 16th, 2018: Red Bull Guardians, the exciting new Dota 2 tournament, is pleased to reveal the world class teams and talent set to attend from October 19th - 20th at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in London.

Teams confirmed to compete at Red Bull Guardians include Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018 (DAC 2018) winners Mineski, and recently reformed Brazilian team paiN Gaming, as well as ROOONS and Team Lithium.

Red Bull Guardians will also feature world class talent, providing analysis and commentary throughout the event in William ‘Blitz’ Lee, Austin ‘Capitalist’ Walsh, Loannis ‘Fogged’ Loucas and homegrown talent, Owen ‘ODPixel’ Davies, who started his journey at UK LAN events before commenting international tournaments.

Red Bull Guardians is unique amongst Dota 2 competitions, introducing an innovative twist to the traditional Dota 2 game mode with a new draft phase enabling teams to pick three extra heroes, which can be substituted in for existing heroes, throughout the game.

Red Bull Guardians is a double elimination knockout tournament inviting teams to compete across two days at the largest public esports studio in the UK, the Red Bull Gaming Sphere. The new 5v5 game mode, exclusive to the Sphere, will open up new and strategic options for teams. Heroes can be substituted throughout the game, with the incoming hero retaining the same items and experience as the outgoing hero.

Red Bull Guardians will be streamed live on Twitch and Facebook from 10a.m. BST on October 19th and 20th.
