OKLAHOMA CITY (February 6, 2013) - GoldFire Studios, creator of real-time multiplayer games for the web, yesterday completed a Kickstarter campaign for its hotly anticipated new title, CasinoRPG ( http://casinorpg.com). CasinoRPG offers a unique gameplay experience that wraps role-playing, tycoon and casino games into a web-based, isometric MMORPG using the latest HTML5 technologies. The use of HTML5 allows the game to be played synchronously across most modern devices, without the need for downloads or plugins.

With just 7 days left in the campaign, GoldFire Studios still needed to raise over 40% of its goal. However, the established community from past games rallied, and helped the small game studio to surpass the 100% mark, raising a total of $20,371, with just 6 hours left in the Kickstarter. "We are a unique case on Kickstarter because we don't come from the usual suspects," said James Simpson, GoldFire Studios' CEO and founder. GoldFire Studios is located in the heartland of the United States, in a small downtown office in Oklahoma City. "We've chosen to stay here in Oklahoma City rather than go to one of the coasts because we love the culture here and see it as an advantage to grow a young game startup," said Simpson. Not only is Oklahoma City widely considered to be a city on the rise, but also GoldFire Studios is the only game studio in or around Oklahoma City.

Being the first successful video game project in Oklahoma City brings with it challenges, but Simpson says they have a solid plan in place. According to Simpson, "there hasn't been much innovation in the casino games space." CasinoRPG aims to change that by creating an entirely new category that wraps a vast, persistent virtual world around classic casino games. "No longer are you just pulling a virtual lever, there is actually depth to the gameplay," he continued.
