Facebook has revealed the top 10 games available to play via the social network in 2011, based on the highest user satisfaction, along with various other top titles.
The top lists, compiled via user ratings versus the number of monthly active players, include the most popular titles of the year, along with the top games in specific categories.
Playdom's Gardens of Time was the most popular game of the year according to Facebook's data, with The Sims Social at number two and CityVille at number three.
The top 10 includes four games from Zynga -- the aforementioned CityVille, Indiana Jones Adventure World, Empires & Allies and Words With Friends.
Elsewhere, Zynga Poker claimed the top casino game of the year, while Nordeus' TopEleven - Be a Football Manager was the top sports game of the year, and 50 Cubes' Mall World was named top fashion game.
"The average game player on Facebook played more than three different gaming titles each month and played more than half the days they visited the site," Facebook said in a statement.
"The list shows that innovation in the space is reaching Silicon Valley and beyond. Apps were built by developers around the world from Seattle, Santa Monica, Canada, Germany, Japan, Serbia, and Prague."
