Oculus VR has announced a partnership with independent games festival IndieCade to roll out an international VR game jam for Oculus Rift developers.

The three-week jam will kick off August 2nd with two categories: a "Selected Developers" group drawn from ten "hand-picked" independent developers and an "Open Call" category for all developers with an Oculus Rift SDK.

A cumulative $50,000 in cash prizes are to be awarded, including $10,000 to the winners of each category. Additionally, winning entries will be showcased at the IndieCade Festival held October 3rd to 6th in Culver City, California. Winners will be flown in to personally show off their games to attendees.

Potential applicants can learn more about the jam from Oculus VR's website.
