Jason Woodward's Blog

Jason has been making video games for over 20 years.  He got his start as a programmer building award winning arcade games for the first wave of Virtual Reality technology for Virtuality Inc (Formerly W. Industries) in the early 90s in his home country, England.

In the late 90’s he had moved on to a 13 year term with Electronic Arts.  While at EA he worked on many of the Redwood City HQ studios top games including Knockout Kings, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, Deadspace, Godfather and the Simpsons.  While there Jason held the roles of Lead Engineer, Technical Director and Development Director.

Upon leaving EA Jason has worked for several valley startups including enVie Interactive as Executive Producer of Vie The Game, a social MMO, and then again as Executive Producer at Green Throttle, driving internal and external development of both games and an app discovery platform to support the companies Android game controllers.

Jason is now an Executive Producer for Kiwi Inc’s building a team that will create Kiwi’s next generation of mobile titles.

Jason's original inspiration came in the form of the movie Tron and his love of making games with his first computer, a Commodore Vic 20. A graduate of Staffordshire University in England, Jason holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
