I work at Amazon Game Studios as a Senior Producer making games for FireOS.

I have to immediately follow that up with a disclaimer - anything and everything I say is my personal opinion and not that of my employeer

With that out of the way...I like games. I think that is the core of why I say anything to begin with. I play games, I enjoy them, and I care about our industry. I'm also getting older all the time and have kids (some who are getting old themselves). That changes how I feel about and interact with games. I keep looking for games that add meaning to life and am excited whenever the industry or even just a single developer steps outside of the norm.

My industry heroes include Jenova Chen, Saturou Iwata, and Shigeru Miyamoto. (all of whom have not allowed criticism stop them from doing things differently AND who have released some of the greatest content in the last decade)

I liked Gates of Thunder, but really preferred Lords of Thunder myself, I was curious as to what you think makes Gates the superior I loved the TurboGrafx CD games, such a fun period of my childhood .

I tend to agree, but it depends on how you frame the question. r nIn terms of AAA titles, I do feel we are much less diverse in content. AAA is narrowing down to a small group that is rarely added to and rarely divergent. r n r nIn terms ...
