LOS ANGELES, California – November 23, 2011 – Gamers United hosts their 4 th Annual Holiday Gala at the Custom Hotel on December 7 th, 2011.

The 4 th Annual Gamers United Holiday Gala will be taking place at the Custom Hotel (8639 Lincoln Boulevard) on Wednesday, December 7th at 7:00PM. Guests are asked to bring a donation of a game, console, or peripheral, and as they dance to music spun by 5footTin they will have the opportunity to bid in a silent auction of wonderful items from generous sponsors like Astro Gaming, Galavantier, Top Cow Productions, and Gunnar Optiks that will raise additional funds for Gamers United. Celebrities from film, television, gaming, music, and art will be in attendance at this exclusive event, including Janina Gavankar (True Blood), Mather Zickel (Man up), Carlos Ferro (Gears of War franchise), Brea Grant (Dexter) and more.

Gamers United is headquartered in Los Angeles, California and was originally conceptualized in 2008, as an organization bringing the video gaming community and industry together to showcase the positive aspects of video gaming to the world.  Each year Gamers United hosts their VIP Holiday Cocktail Party to further introduce the organization to companies within the video gaming industry and to raise awareness within the community by inviting community leaders and celebrities.  Through the parties Gamers United has been able to collect tens of thousands of dollars in games, accessories and peripherals for beneficiaries such as Mattel Children’s Hospital of UCLA and the most recent beneficiary Miller’s Children’s Hospital of Long Beach, California.

Many hospitals now use video gaming as a rehabilitative tool. Other organizations use it as a method of entertainment for those who are unable to leave the confines of their home or hospital bed. Gamers United is dedicated to giving back and highlighting the video gamer's youthful and giving spirit.
