- DiamondLobby.com commissioned 8 legendary Call of Duty maps to be built from LEGO
- The results can be replicated by anyone with the correct LEGO bricks

Gamers at DiamondLobby wanted to celebrate the upcoming launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard with something creative. After going back through the Call of Duty archives, they picked 8 of the most iconic maps that featured in a variety of CoD titles — then built them out of LEGO.

Working with designer Evghenii Loctev, the maps for Crash, Castle, Terminal, Firing Range, Rust, Nuketown, Slums and Raid were constructed brick-by-brick, with the finished images displaying an immediately-recognisable angle for every design.

All of the maps can be built by anyone that owns or purchases the correct LEGO bricks, though some parts are rarer than others.

"The thing I love most about these designs is that anyone can, in theory, build these maps too" said Luke Roberts from DiamondLobby, who helped work on the piece.

"With modern technology, it's amazing that we were able to build these out of LEGO — but on our computer screens," Luke added.

"Thanks to technology, we were able to get our hands on less-common bricks for our designs. Any LEGO fan knows that bricks can be expensive. For those that don't know how costly it can be, you can see how many LEGO pieces we used in every map along with the cost of actually building it.

"The most expensive map we built was Terminal, which first featured in Modern Warfare 2. It would cost $4,726 to build this at the time we designed it, though prices for pieces do vary on a daily basis.

"Technology also allowed us to enhance colors and lighting to produce a more cinematic look for the web."

The maps are sizeable in scale, with some of the builds reaching over 2 meters long and nearly a meter in height.
