Stavanger, Norway - Pixelrain Studios, a small indie development studio created by Connor Thorpe

Pixelrain Studios, a one man studio created by Connor Thorpe, brings a new take on the casual games genre. Their game Slice Knight features a unique mechanic in which your weapon constantly swings around your character as you fend off wave after wave of enemies in the dark depths of the dungeon while looking for loot to keep you alive and give you the edge you need. The game was released on the 17th of Feb and is available for download on the Google Play store completely free. Fans of casual mobile games will have a blast with this game and it’s great balance of rewarding loot filled combat and addicting mechanics.

“I truly felt like the casual genre had become this oversaturated market full of clones and the lack of new and unique concepts was disappointing. I’m sure there are plenty of amazing hidden gems in between them, but we rarely see them touch the surface of these storefronts. So I decided to give it a shot myself.”, said Connor Thorpe, Owner of Pixelrain Studios.

Slice Knight is a top down casual game with action RPG elements. You play as a knight stuck in a dark dungeon and must use every tool at your disposal to survive as long as possible. 

To help you do so are crates filled with various weapons placed around the dungeon which can be picked up at any time. Watch out though, as your weapons break after a certain amount of use. Survive as long as possible and compete against other players.

• A leveling system and shop to unlock brand new gear
