For immediate release

Berlin, January 16th, 2019 – Berlin-based HTML5 Messenger Games pioneer SOFTGAMES are excited to announce the launch of their new branch in Toronto, Canada, in January 2019. Headed by industry veteran Gili Zeevi the newly to establish team will principally be responsible for the company‘s successful match-3 titles. For that purpose, SOFTGAMES is currently looking to fill the roles of a Game Developer (HTML5/JavaScript) and a Junior Game Producer on the spot. “Gili is a producer, game designer, and UX expert with 10 years of wide experience. Overseeing SOFTGAMES’ developer network since 2016, he will do a brilliant job in building our first remote branch and leading the brandnew team“, says SOFTGAMES’ CEO Alexander Krug.

Getting ready for the future

In October 2018, about 6 billion MAU on average were reported for the nine most popular messenger apps only, and rising. Additional services and consumer-oriented products that were rolled out in recent years managed to attract more and more users. Gaming is amongst the most popular activities. Therefore, the future of Messenger Gaming looks radiant.

To further build on their existing sustainable Messenger Games business on Facebook Instant Games, SOFTGAMES already significantly increased their team in Berlin from 40 to around 70 employees during 2018 and is still hiring for a range of open positions, including several high profile roles on senior level. “We are growing fast and have grand and exciting plans for 2019, therefore we are still looking for creative, talented, and experienced people to join our international team in Berlin and shape the future of Messenger Games with us”, adds Krug.
