  Nexon Group Announces Strategic Partnership with NAT Games, Developer of Mobile Blockbuster RPG HIT

TOKYO – April 15, 2016 – NEXON Co., Ltd. (“Nexon”) (3659.TO), a worldwide leader in free-to-play online and mobile games, today announced that its consolidated subsidiary, NEXON Korea Corporation (“Nexon Korea”), has entered into a strategic partnership with mobile game developer NAT Games.

Through this transaction, which formalizes the successful relationship between Nexon and NAT Games, Nexon Korea became the second biggest shareholder, with a 22.4% equity stake.

NAT Games is a mobile game development studio led by CEO and Lead Producer Yong-Hyun Park, who developed popular PC online massively multiplayer online role playing games (MMORPG) Lineage II and TERA. HIT was launched in Korea on November 18, 2015, and was the top selling game on both Google Play and App Store the following day. With 5 million total downloads, HIT will be launched globally in 2016.

In conjunction with the partnership with NAT Games, Nexon decided to make a CB(Convertible Bond) investment in NAT Games’ major shareholder, Barunson E&A. As a part of the transaction, Nexon entered into a publishing contract with Studio 8, a subsidiary of Baruson E&A, for the PC online MMORPG, Astelia.
