[This unedited press release is made available courtesy of Gamasutra and its partnership with notable game PR-related resource GamesPress.]

This week's update to Survivor Squad: Gauntlets is yet another big one, Editor Challenges have been added.

These are 20 Challenges of increasing complexity that you must use the Editor Event Actions to overcome. It should be a fun way of learning just how powerful the Editor can be.

Survivor Squad: Gauntlets is now available on Mac and Linux! So far I have kept only Windows builds due to the fact that it makes it faster to update every week but since V1.00 is around the corner this is the time to get Mac and Linux users involved!

You can now post comments on the Featured Gauntlets, those comments will show in-game in the end screen, let everyone know what you thought.

New Main Menu that guides new Players through all the Gauntlets ensuring a nice difficulty curve. Options Menu was also revamped and now all key bindings have the correct functions.

Keep the feedback coming and enjoy the update!

Full Patch Notes:

Survivor Squad: Gauntlets, which is being developed by the one man studio at Endless Loop Studios, has been on Early Access since November being updated every week and will be fully released on May 1st 2015 for PC, Mac and Linux.

It is a Strategy-Action game where you control your Squad of Survivors and command them through various Gauntlets with unique events and items while fighting the Infected.

Each Survivor can only see within his Field of View so Line of Sight is an extremely important mechanic of the game, you cannot shoot what you cannot see.

Develop your formations, move as a unit and cover every corner. Leave no man behind!

Survivor Squad: Gauntlets also features a very powerful Editor that has been used to build all the Developer Content you see in the game. It lets you place all kinds of Objects and interact with them through hundreds of possible Event Actions and manipulate them with Variables and Event Triggers. Anything from Lasers to Sentry Guns to Buttons and even Custom Interfaces!

The editor is essentially a visual programming language so if you can imagine it, you can build it!

Along with the Editor comes several tools for sharing and playing Community built Gauntlets. Build a death trap and challenge your friends to beat your score!

It is currently available on Steam Early Access for $8.99
