The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword their game of 2011 in
IGN’s annual “Best of” awards.
The long-awaited Nintendo Wii title was the resounding winner of
the IGN People’s Choice Game of 2011 category in the
“Best of” awards - beating Bethesda’s
multi-format title,
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Naughty Dog’s PS3
exclusive,
Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The hotly contested
category saw more than 30,000 gamers have their say on the best
last year had to offer.

Australia named Valve’s puzzler,
Portal 2 as their game of the year, stating that “no
single game charmed, challenged and awed us like Portal 2
has.”
