Payday 2 developer Starbreeze will establish a virtual reality arcade in L.A. in a bid to bring premium VR experiences to the masses.
The venue, dubbed Project StarCade, will open later this year at an as of yet undisclosed location, and will feature a number of virtual reality experiences powered by the studio's own StarVR headset.
Although it's looking to showcase its own VR catalogue, Starbreeze will also be inviting other developers along, with company CTO Emmanual Marquez explaining they're "open to any content."
"We will invite developers to join us and give them the opportunity to put their content in our StarCade," added Marquez.
"We as an industry continuously need to educate ourselves to make VR truly successful, and this is just the first step in our planning to do so.”
This is the second piece of Starbreeze-related news in as many weeks, with the studio last week securing a $40 million investment along with the rights to Korean game company Smilegate's hit online shooter, Crossfire.
