Kojima Productions uses Metal Gear Solid V to demonstrate its photorealistic FOX Engine at GDC 2013, showing rendering techniques that make the source material and in-game assets almost indistinguishable.

Courtesy of the GDC Vault, this 90-minute panel includes Kojima Productions head Hideo Kojima, CG art director Hideki Sasaki, tech director Junji Tago, and lighting artist Masayuki Suzuki, all demoing how assets are created and how the lighting, shaders, and camera work together for dramatic effect.
