But a new investor guide translated by the Andriasang website
suggests the companies may soon celebrate their union with a crossover product.
The Nikkei Corporate Quarterly has a short blurb on Koei-Tecmo that reads: "New Games: Will release games that combine Tecmo and Koei titles. The aim is to reach fans of both."
Koei has experience in the crossover arena before, combining with longstanding cross-media mecha property Gundam for Dynasty Warriors: Gundam
, while Tecmo successfully extrapolated the characters from its DoA
fighting game into a lighter sporting context with Dead Or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball
, which also spawned a sequel.
