Facial animation software technology firm Lifemode Interactive have announced that the company will be launching both Lifestudio: Head 2.7 and Xbox 360 support at the Game Developers Conference 2006 in San Jose, California, held from March 20th-24th.
The Lifestudio: Head facial animation application contains a large set of features supported by the original Macro-Muscles technology. These include easy modeling, realistic texturing, automated lip-synch, comprehensive animation library and many other. Data exchange with 3ds max and Maya is supported giving the possibility of working with own models and scene rendering.
In addition, the latest Xbox 360 SKU for the solution takes the benefit of multicore architecture to bring realistic facial animation to the X360. The tool is also available for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and PC, and enables cutting edge sequences in games that combine automated lip-synch with nonlinear facial animation in real-time.
Lifemode's marketing and sales director Natalie Polikarpova said, "We are so delighted to be showing off our new products at GDC 2006, and we welcome all the major game developers and 3D artists to our booth to try out our tools and see the benefits they bring to their game designs".
