In the graph, I removed all titles under 100k so that I could remove the shovelware. I am sure some slipped through, but 90 of them are legit titles that had some type of marketing/advertising budget.

Great analysis Right on the money IMO. Sony had always expected a slow start for their console so they could hit profitability sooner, they just didnt expect the Wii and 360 to get such a strong start. good stuff.
