About XGen Studios
XGen Studios was founded in 2001 and garnered a cult following for their web games: Defend Your Castle, Stick RPG, and Motherload. These days XGen has been developing and self publishing downloadable titles for PC, Steam, and Consoles such as their 2013 Day-1 PlayStation 4 digging adventure game: Super Motherload.
During the development of The Low Road, XGen Studios was faced with an extremely difficult emotional challenge when founder and CEO, Skye Boyes, passed away in 2015. The loss of such an important leader to the team had a huge impact on the development process but in the midst of this incredible challenge, the team came together quickly to support one another as they finished development of The Low Road with a renewed drive and purpose.
