26 February 2013 - Hampshire, UK/... Deep
Silver today revealed plans to expand its brands into the mobile
gaming market in the coming year, as part of its overall publishing
strategy.
Deep Silver has already proven its expertise in leading titles
to success on stationary platforms, both worldwide and locally.
Now, the publisher is further expanding its experience into the
mobile market.
Along with this new strategic direction, Deep Silver has also
disclosed its intention to invest and build up resources and
manpower in the mobile space in order to acquire and further
develop existing knowledge in the company. Over the course of the
next months, several job openings will become available in
connection with the strategic mobile market focus, focusing on
development, sales, and marketing.
"Nowadays, gaming can play a role anywhere and anytime... at
home or on the go. It is therefore only logical to extend the brand
universe of a game to different devices. Having a brand strategy
that is multi-platform - including mobile - offers a full,
all-round experience that enables players to enjoy different
aspects of a game world wherever and whenever they want," explains
Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media / Deep Silver, with reference
to the company's mobile strategy.
"In the near future, our cross-platform approach will allow us
to promote our games from new angles, because we will have a whole
group of games connected to a brand on different platforms," adds
Menno van der Bil, Commercial Director of Deep Silver. "Players of
our upcoming mobile titles can expect the same level of originality
and innovativeness that they already know from our existing
products."
