Future Games of London (FGOL) announced today that it has passed
the milestone of 50 million downloads across iOS, Google Play and
Amazon App Store. Since its formation in 2009, FGOL has seen
huge success from its Hungry Shark, Pool Bar, Snooker Club and
Grabatron franchises, with more new IP promised for 2013.
"We're thrilled to have achieved over 50 million
installs" commented Ian Harper, Managing Director, "It's
a sign of how big the smart phone & tablet market has become,
that we can do this in just 3 years. We're forecasting even further
growth in our year-in-year installs and revenue in 2013".
"December was our 2nd largest revenue month
ever" added Harper, "Hungry Shark Evolution became
Free-to-Play in early December and has already reached over 1.5
million downloads on iOS alone. Our total downloads across all
platforms for December passed 3 million".
"What's exciting for us is to see such a healthy distribution of
revenue & installs across multiple platforms, franchises and
geographies" explains Chris Dawson, Creative Director.
"We can already see huge headroom as the overall market grows, but
also as we better understand our players and begin to build richer
and more immersive entertainment on smart phones & tablets.
We've really only scratched the surface of what's possible."
