NEUCHATEL, Switzerland – December 6, 2012 – Miniclip, the world’s top mobile and online games provider, announces today that it is taking Everplay Interactive’s popular hack and slash iOS game – Spellsword - and distributing on Android.

Spellsword follows the path of an unlikely hero as he quests to unleash the power of his newly found “Spellsword”. A retro-inspired survival-based game, Spellsword features 60 missions and 9 endless arenas where the player will fight to unlock new items and spell cards. The game combines fun, action and comedy with highlights such as RPG elements and upgrades, and retro-inspired graphics and gameplay.

Miniclip, the world’s No. 1 online games site and successful mobile publisher, most recently surpassed 100 million downloads across the company’s mobile titles and with its new cross-platform initiative, it has become the first company to simultaneously launch new games across online, iPhone and Android. Users can instantly play mobile games online, share it with their friends and download it to their iPhone, Android or Windows Phone. For those players that enjoy competing with big groups, Miniclip is also implementing its new multiplayer server technology to run game tournaments in real time online and on mobile. Popular games in its expansive library include Extreme Skater, Hambo, Gravity Guy and Monster Island.

Spellsword is now available for free in the Google Play store. To download: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.miniclip.spellsword
