FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Reading, Pennsylvania - Tuesday, November 13, 2012. TreadRunner is a “Finger Racing” game who’s objective is to gain the most distance and successfully jump the most hurdles in 60 seconds. TreadRunner incorporates Apple’s Game Center technology, allowing realtime two player matches through wifi, bluetooth and cellular networks. The game is targeted at the 10+ age group. The Game is available in Apples App Store under games.

TreadRunner is a track and field racing game that is controlled by your fingers using swipe gestures. Swipe down to run and swipe up to jump. A player must swipe down to gain momentum and increase speed then keep that speed in order to jump over hurdles. You have 60 seconds to run as far as you can and jump as many hurdles as you can.

HighBeta is developing and publishing a genre of games called “Finger Racers”. These games promote a style of interactivity that use swipe gestures to compete for a top score or to compete with other players online in realtime network matches.

Similar to games like fruit ninja that use swiping as a metaphor for cutting, TreadRunner uses swipe gestures as a metaphor for running and jumping. TreadRunner is a true test of finger coordination and concentration. TreadRunner is the first in a series of “Finger Racing” games being developed here at HighBeta.

TreadRunner is the first “Finger Racer” game to hit Apples App Store.

TreadRunner is available at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/treadrunner/id568479693?ls=1&mt=8 and priced at .99 cents. More information can be found on HighBeta’s website at https://www.facebook.com/pages/TreadRunner/382496058491265?ref=hl

HighBeta is a casual gaming studio focusing on games for children and adults. HighBeta is located in Reading, Pennsylvania, a city nestled in the heart of rural Berks County.
