PRESS RELEASE
IMMEDIATE ISSUE
03 OCTOBER 2012
This year’s Really AWESOME Gaming Expo,
rAge, will keep techno-junkies hooked for hours
with a variety of interactive and exciting attractions,
competitions, products and games. A novel addition this year is
that Apex Interactive will be featuring the Angry Birds Alley at
rAge, giving gamers the chance to take on Angry
Birds in real life!
For just a small charitable donation, visitors to
rAge can throw Angry Birds at those bad Piggies to
win a prize. A minimum donation of R5 gets you three throws. Show
the world just how skilfully you can conquer Angry Birds! Prizes
include Angry Birds games for PC, Plush Toys and sweets.
What’s more is that all of the proceeds will go to FreeMe,
a volunteer group dedicated to rescuing orphaned, abandoned,
injured and displaced indigenous birds, mammals and reptiles in
northern Johannesburg. FreeMe treats approximately 10 000 animals
each year, providing specialised treatment, care and
rehabilitation. The ultimate aim for the organisation is to
release wildlife back into its natural habitat in areas carefully
chosen, including reserves and conservancies (
www.freemewildlife.org.za).
Organised and managed by NAG Magazine, the country’s
leading gaming, computer and technology magazine, this year’s
rAge is going to be an experience like never
before. The tenth annual rAge expo will run from 5-7 October 2012
at the Coca-Cola Dome in JHB, offering an enticing platform of one
of the fastest growing and most popular entertainment industries in
the world. The question is if you will be able to defeat Angry
Birds in the real world?
Ends.
