L.A. Noire developer Team Bondi, which is currently in the middle of closing down, owes more than 1.4 million Australian dollars to its staff in unpaid wages and bonuses.

Documents filed earlier this week through the Australian Securities And Investments Commission revealed that the developer is in the process of closing down fully.

Now newly revealed filings show that more than 30 staff are owed money by the company, ranging from $1,600 to $99,000 each, according to news site Edge.

Studio head Brendan McNamara also claims that he is owed $102,000, the highest amount stated in the documents.

A number of companies are also named as creditors. Depth Analysis, the studio co-founded by McNamara that developed the MotionScan technology, is owed over $145,000 in total.

Although LA Noire received critical acclaim when it was released in May, the development studio behind the game has been shrouded in controversy ever since.

In June, it came to light that over 100 developers were not included in the final credits roll for the game, according to former employees who launched a website dedicated to spotlighting their contributions.

Team Bondi studio head Brendan McNamara also found himself under fire following the release of L.A. Noire, with anonymous ex-staffers accusing him of "mismanagement," an allegation that he denied.
