Konami is set to release its digital XBLA-exclusive Castlevania title on Sony's PlayStation Network, the company said.

Castlevania Harmony of Despair will be released on the PlayStation 3's digital storefront late this summer, after nearly a year of exclusivity on the Xbox 360.

The game is a six-player online co-operative action game displayed on a 2D plane, using many assets from past titles in the series.

New to the PlayStation 3 version is a four-player local co-op mode, as well as the inclusion of the "Beauty, Desire, Situation Dire" map pack, which was previously a separate purchase.

Castlevania Harmony of Despair was produced by Koji "IGA" Igarashi, who has been at the helm of the series' internally-developed titles since 2001's Castlevania Chronicles on the original PlayStation.

The game was released on Xbox Live Arcade on August 4, 2010, and has earned a Metacritic score of 67 out of 100.

I guess the one year exclusivity clause is up for that one as well, eh.
