I was beyond excited at getting Star Fox until I realized it was a remake of the 64 version I've beaten a few dozen times.

I'm more concerned about the price of the WiiU than I am about the 3DS.

With nintendo putting a 3ds together for $100 they can easily drop to $199 and pinch sony upon their release of vita. I'm waiting until there are core games available not just zelda but mario, kart, starfox, smash
and where's the metroid love?! Some of these will be out by years end and let's face it 3ds xl or whatever will arrive by the time wii u is with us so why not get that? |

The game line up was crap at launch and it remains crap as of today. I do find it funny that he's that they aren't going to do anything based on the actions of a competitor. That is a statement that is full of fail. The PSP (all versions) when launched had a crap line up and they were all over priced. Not really a good strategy. Based on Sony's experience here, Nintendo should have wised up and not launched with a bank breaking price and a shit game line up.
You know, Nero supposedly fiddled while Rome burned. His successors learned a bit from that experience (not all of them of course). By the way, we have the damn thing. The games for it suck. Nice looking paper weight. |

If Nintendo's games are going to draw people to the 3DS, why has this not yet happened? Apparently, the solution is to release more N64 and Gamecube games. Because those consoles were so enormously successful. Oh, wait.
The upside is that Nintendo usually moves pretty quick when faced with serious competition. The downside is that they have to get knocked around for a while before they get the hint. PSV could become very formidable, and Apple continues to be the ghost in the room nobody wants to think about. The next 12 months are going to be very interesting. |

Gotta wait for the games. Same story as the DS. IT took awhile to get going.
I think the most interesting thing I read about the games coming out is Super Mario has a lower camera view to really make the 3d shine. I read that about 3d tv as well. The camera positions at sporting events need to be changed to really show off 3d. Cameron said that in an interview. Anyway there will be a good 5 games to get for the 3ds by the of summer. Remember too the 3ds market of young kids likely haven't played the N64 remakes before. |

Software matters more than price. Vita's launch will miss the holidays and by the time it is released the 3DS may have a title that is strong enough to move more hardware. Depends on how strong Mario Kart and some of the other titles being released are.
Vita could also launch with a killer app so it could either way. |

Translation: We have not yet been able to sell the 3DS any less at the required margin.
And I do not see the vita doing well either. |
