But we felt it was worth throwing our hat in the ring because we had a very solid understanding of the product, and we knew the financial background, and in a very short space of time to make a decision. That was one of the more important elements of this; that everybody found it challenging to do the due diligence and come to a position to bid in this auction. We're an independent company, so we can make quick decisions and respond to new opportunities. That may have given us an advantage to some extent.| Maria Jayne |

"The [first Metro] product, Metro 2033, was not fully exploited."
What a loaded statement this is. |

Dead Island put Koch on the map for me. Now this. It's amazing how they made a decision and got the IP within a week.
Saints Row 2 & 3 is the most fun I had in videogames since GTA San Andreas |

Surprised no one bothered to praise them for offering to keep everyone on the payroll. That's terrific!
Sure some may leave, but at least no one is forced out of the job (as far as we know). Saints Row: The Third has some serious steps backward compared to Saint's Row 2. I'm hoping without THQ's influence Volition will go back to that formula. Though there were good things about The Third, overall it isn't a game you could keep playing. There's a end point that is shoved down your throat that doesn't allow content to be replayed in co-op. |

I didn't care for Saint's row 1 and 2 and tried 3 on a Steam free weekend, and was amazed how much I liked the game. I ended up buying it and most of the DLC. I love the over the top action of The Third but could honestly do without the over the top adult "weapons". I'd love for the game to not have that for the 4th game.
I received Metro:2033 for free when I bought a EVGA card and was blown away at it's graphics. It's one of the best looking games I have ever played, and when everyone talks about graphics, I'm surprised I don't hear it mentioned more often. I'm so glad that Volition and these properties got picked up, and I can't wait to play the next game in the series. The only thing I would love to see Koch media do is allow Volition to do another Freespace or Descent style game, I know those properties are owned by Interplay, but we need more games like that. It's a travesty that we haven't had a Descent like game released since Descent 3 released in 1999. |
