Newsbrief: The Xbox Live Arcade version of Minecraft is proving to be just as popular as its PC and Mac counterpart, as the game is currently selling between 40 - 60,000 copies every week.

As of the end of November, the XBLA version of Minecraft has sold 4,476,904 copies, according to data from developer Mojang directly given to Gamasutra columnist and blogger Ryan Langley, and is currently the third most played game on Xbox Live, after Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Halo 4.

In comparison, the PC and Mac version of the game has sold over 8.2 million copies while at last count the Pocket Edition for mobile had sold 2 million copies in June.

You can't fit Minecraft in 256 MB of RAM for the PS3. Minecraft already is a bit small on the Xbox (which has 512 MB shared). Minecraft isn't about a power GPU or GPU RAM. It's a RAM-intensive and CPU-intensive game.
