Newsbrief: Amazon's Appstore for Android launched in Japan today, as part of the company's plans for global expansion of the service.

Japanese Android users can now download the Appstore directly from the Amazon website, with a selection of games and app from both local and international studios available.

The Amazon Appstore launched last year in the U.S., and earlier this year in Europe. As the store launches in more countries, Amazon hopes to attract more Android users with its secure 1-Click purchasing and what it says is simple and seamless integration of the service into any Android title available via its Appstore.
