Awards, which recognized 2008's top performers.
According to a 1UP report of the Tokyo-based event, Japan's Famitsu
magazine also named Metal Gear
's Solid Snake as Character of the Year, while last year's Metal Gear Solid 4
won the "High Quality" prize.
Capcom won Company of the Year, as its massively popular (in Japan) Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G
won both Game of the Year and Best Seller awards.
Nintendo's Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Pokemon Platinum
and Animal Crossing: City Folk
also garnered recognition at the awards.
