Virtools Announces NeMo 3D

France’s Virtools S.A. announced the release of NeMo 3D, a game development tool designed to help developers prototype or simulate behaviors associated with 3D objects used in games, and then move that prototype into a full-scale production. NeMo generates 3D environments so that developers can evaluate game concepts and ideas, presumably so that game developers can concentrate more heavily upon game play and interactivity. According to the company, this "eliminates months of tedious, time-consuming code development and allows game developers to concentrate on story lines, artwork and other programming milestones."

The product is available on Windows 95/98/NT. The NeMo product family is available in two flavors: NeMo Dev and NeMo Creation. NeMo Dev, designed for cutting-edge developers, lists at $3490, while NeMo Creation, packaged for independent multimedia authors, is priced at $990. Both will be available at the end of April.
