Postcard from the Fourth Annual D.I.C.E. Summit Golf Tournament
February 7, 2007 was a clear, sunny day at Las Vegas' Rio Secco Golf Club, where video game industry bigshots gathered for the fourth annual D.I.C.E. Summit Golf Tournament. Moods ranged from relaxed to merrily inebriated to stone-cold serious among the eighteen participating teams, each of which consisted of either three or four industry colleagues competing for prizes and, more importantly, bragging rights.
The "shotgun" style tournament began promptly at 9:00 a.m., with each team beginning play at a predetermined hole. The rules were simple: each participant on a team started with a drive, and the team played off of the ball that made it closest to the green, effectively combining scores and acting as one unit.
Along the way, Electronic Arts-sponsored bonus games, including a "power-up" ball that gave extra distance and a special "field goal" setup complete with mini goalposts and football-colored golf balls, gave opportunity to shed off a few points.
The big winners of the day, with a final score of 62, was the combination of Anthony Brown, Grind Games' Matt Candler, Phil Enabnit, and Union Entertainment's Richard Leibowitz, pictured below accepting their prizes:

We're not sure how they divvied up the prizes, exactly...
