Sam Farmer's Blog

 

Prior to starting Rocket Science Amusements, Sam was Lead Game Designer for BBC Worldwide where he developed PC games based on several top BBC television series. In addition, Sam's original mobile social word game Yumby Words was released on Google Play and the App Store by Playgearz in 2013. Before that, Sam won two IGF awards at GDC 2010 for Paper Cakes and Spectre. His design work on Blink (project supervised by Sony Santa Monica), allowed him to create compelling stories within the context of a AAA action/adventure title. Awards include: "Independent Games Festival Student Showcase, GDC 2010." - PaperCakes. "Independent Games Festival Student Showcase, GDC 2010." - Spectre. "LG Innovative Mobile Game Award 2012." - Hungry, Hungry UFOs.
