Nayan works as Localization editor and Marketing director for the Playism project, the indie-focused digital distribution arm of Active Gaming Media. Based in Japan and working intimately with the Japanese independent game development community, Nayan has gained a unique perspective on the trials and tribulations of Japanese indie devs.
Nayan Ramachandran recalls his experience taking Japanese Indie developers to PAX East 2014 for their first western event, and how it changed their perspective on the western gaming audience.
Playism has been collaborating with game design school HAL to publish student games for everyone to play. On July 13th, we visited HAL Osaka and played their prototypes for the first time.
