Gary Dahl's Blog   Expert Blogs


Gary now develops indie games full-time as Sugar Pill Studios.  Prior to this, he taught game design and development at the college level for over eight years.  Before earning his Master's Degree in computer science from at the University of Minnesota, Gary worked on a number of racing titles at Canopy Games.  Over the years, Gary has also worked with more serious applications of game technologies for the Naval Research Laboratories, the Science Museum of Minnesota, Altec Energy, and several smaller startups.  Gary's games have been honored with awards, exhibited in museums, and presented in the Experimental Gameplay Workshop of the Game Developers Conference.
