Dirk Knemeyer is the Founder and Chairman of three companies: Facio, a human capital optimization software suite; Involution Studios, a software design consultancy that has designed software for Apple, Microsoft, Oracle, Raptr and the administration of President Barack Obama; and Conquistador Games, a publisher of board and digital games.
Before becoming an entrepreneur Dirk was a creative. He led or contributed to projects that won awards in virtually every communication medium including from international organizations such as the Webby's, Telly's and AIGA. A recognized thought leader in a cross-section of creative communities, he has keynoted conferences in Europe and the United States. More than 100 of his articles on design and business have been published by industry resources, including Bloomberg Businessweek. Despite being in his 30s Dirk has been elected Director to 15 different Boards, including the International Institute for Information Design (Vienna, Austria) and the Center for Brand Experience (New York City).
Dirk has a Master of Arts in Popular Culture from Bowling Green and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Toledo. He is married with three sons and a daughter and lives in Columbus, Ohio.
