My name is Ben Thompson. I am currently a Game Development student at Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy focusing in Game Design, and more specifically, level design. I've been designing and implementing games since my Sophmore year of high school when I first became aquainted with Game Maker 7. Since then, I've been a part of many small projects in the Unreal Development Kit, Unity, and in-house engines.
My strong points lie in my level design abilities as well as my determination and technical problem solving skills. With those combined I've been able to overcome many obstacles in my path to become an industry professional.
Through the course of this blog, I'll be posting about my struggles and triumphs as I refine my skills in the Unreal Development Kit. I'll be testing and straining all of my skillsets in this glorious engine, from the material editor to the cascade editor to the world editor, no tool shall go untouched.
