Raymond Ortgiesen's Blog
Right now I'm a Technical Game Designer at Gameloft Montreal and making games in my spare time with The Circle Machine.
My games are on my website at: www.raymodesign.com
The best game I've made so far is Neurohack.
"You can learn more about a person in an hour of play, than you can in a year of conversation."
In this post I propose a new way of thinking about the indie game community. They're not studios - they're bands.
In this post, I tackle why indie games are just as stagnant as the triple A titles they claim to trump. Which is to say, not stagnant at all.
The recent "Serious Games" movement has caused me some distress. This post is about why I think the term and the games themselves are unnecessary and counter-productive to making real progress.
