Megaloptura on Kickstarter

Well the first day was pretty exciting.  It started out slow and picked up speed as the word went out.  Still the whole process has made me as nervous as a pregnant nun.  I get especially nervous when I look at actual stats for the funding on Kickstarter.  I don’t know if it is true of not, but according to this article Kickstarter sorta makes it harder to see the failure rate.  Also the odds of getting funding based on their statistics is less than 30%  \o/  Take a look here.

The Video

Anyhow, we may have to change out our video.  One thing we didn’t anticipate is the number of people that just don’t read.  We have a section called “The Game” that explains what the game is about yet had an alarming number of emails asking what the game was about.  So it is apparent that a large portion of the population has ADD, and simply watch the video and makes their decision off that and that alone. 

So we might make a new video that is short, sweet, to the point and explains the game mechanics and not so much the development of the game. 

So for the first day we received $465 which is 2% of our funding.  Not a land slide by any means.  At the start of the day there wasn’t any, then it started to pick up after lunch and the word spread a little.
