MOBAs are quickly becoming one of the most played online games in the world. They are fast paced, and revolve primarily around PvP combat (Player vs. Player). They involve a very large and diverse cast of playable characters, each with their own unique abilities and ways that they can benefit the team as a whole.

The first MOBA was created by IceFrog in the warcraft 3 engine and relesed as a mod for said game. It was so successful that there were many recreations of it done over the years such as Heroes of Newerth and League of Legends. While Heroes of Newerth had sub-standard acceptance, League of Legends, developed by Riot Games, has had an unbelieveable amount of players over the last couple years and has become the face of ESports.

For my Design Thesis, I plan on breaking down the characters of Dota2, which includes their bios, abilities, and their strengths and weaknesses. I will also breakdown the overall game with its items and map layout.

Using the knowledge I gained from my research, I am going to create a completely new character for the Dota2 universe, including lore, abilities, and item builds for the character.
