Amir Sharar's Blog

Self-proclaimed "creative force that drives this industry", Amir Sharar is a jack of all trades, master of none. A musician, graphic artist, level designer and game designer with no formal training, Amir is most well known for his "fun quantifier" that is able to measure how fun a game is. That said, he is not very well known. A recent University graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Software Engineering and a Minor in Business Management, Amir's experience in the gaming industry is limited to writing Videogame Reviews for a major Canadian City Newspaper. Despite the lack of experience, he feels that posting on videogame messageboards since the mid-90s qualifies him as an expert on the industry and has given him the necessary know-how to comment on anything videogame related.

I think there 's a good chance we 'll see something as open as Apple 's Appstore or Google 's Play store. My reasoning is as follows: r n r nFirst off, Microsoft has one already for Windows 8. The foundation is in place for a self-publishing scenario for Indie ...

While many people here may ...

While many people here may not like it, the product does indeed make the living room more relevant in terms of entertainment. r n r nThere are still obvious risks, and I think it should have been IPTV based instead of using current cable boxes, but hey that 's just ...

I got a lot of use out of it as well. But I did pay 700 Cdn for my launch PS3. We all know how Sony struggled for a couple of years with that machine, cost being a big reason for that. r n r nI have question for you, ...

Dear Lance, r n r nThanks for writing I think the biggest benefit to having auto-updates is that we 'll have a machine that 's ready to go anytime we need it. I remember one particular occassion where I brought my PS3, with Warhawk and 4 controllers along with a ...

Why would I I could ...

Why would I I could play it on my PS1 after all. r n r nThere was a fairly considerable gap in the graphic fidelity of PS1 sports titles to PS2 sports titles and how that prompted Sports gamers to make the jump. I think you 're forgetting that large ...
